Dear Dominic,
It was good to speak to you today. Please find enclosed further information on the Hypnotising Chickens exhibition I'm helping to organise at One in the Other gallery. The show opens on the 11th of January 2001 and will have new works from Toby Ziegler, Neil Rumming and myself.
We all make large paintings and One in the Other is a fairly small space, so the three works in the show will all be deliberately clashing and competing with each other in the tradition of a music soundclash. There is a very Op art, D.I.Y techno linkage in the work, hence the spellbinding accessions of the show's title which is a quote from an Iggy Pop song.
Neil Rumming has recently exhibited at Modern Art, London, The Tirana Biennale, Albania and Spacex Gallery, Exeter. His work was recently described in Flash Art international as "Where biology meets rock and roll, Rumming is king". He has also been short listed for Becks' Futures 2002.
Toby Ziegler has recently shown at Hoxton House, London and in Grey Matter, Sydney. His work has been described by Mark Currah in Time Out as "the ultimate multinational wet dream".
I have recently had a solo show at the 198 Gallery, London, which Norman Rosenthal of the RA described as "Brilliant".
